Indian Wild dog/Dhole
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Indian wild dog or the dhole is an endangered species (IUCN). We are lucky to have these dogs around as probably they are the only animal in india to survive ice age. These dogs are usually in packs and hunt in packs with one alpha male and an alpha female (only these two do the breeding). the whole family pitches in the care of the litter.
Range: Most of the asian countries though they look different from each other (like the South Indian dhole has a more reddish color to it than the its north Indian counterpart).
Habitat: Jungles to shrubland.
Diet: when in good numbered pack they can kill large deer like sambar.
Vital stats: approx 20 kgs height nearly 2 feet at the shoulder
Speciality: Hunts in packs and NO INTERNAL FIGHTING!!!!
Thanks for viewing

Hola Vinay: Es una hermosa toma de un animal poco conocido en estas latitudes; es una suerte poder verlo en vivo y sobre todo fotografiarlo. Una toma con mucha nitidez, buen color y sobre todo un entorno maravilloso...saludos.Luis.
Nice shot. There seems to be some noise with the image. Anyways, sharply focussed, good details and composition.
