My second woodpecker on TN! This is one more bird from my morning walk to nearby hills.

This one I thought is a baby woodpecker who was practicing on the small bark of the tree. It was small and I was not able to find it quickly through my view finder but the little one was doing the noise by stamping his beak on the bark to allow me to focus.

Thanks for viewing

Looking up at a bird high in the tree through the eye of the camera is a dicey affair, Kedar.
Still, you have managed this shot of the Woodpecker quite well.
The patterns and colours on the bird are well captured.
Wish the focus were a bit sharper.
Thanks and all the best.

Hi Kedar,
A nice capture of this yellow crowned wood pecker. Very well composed with good details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I wouldn't call this one of your best shots, Kedar...You've done much better in similar situations that asked for a tripod when you didn't have one (your big cat shots)...Sorry, but that's the truth..
Having said that, the effort thats gone into this shot is awesome...
And lastly, I've never seen anything like this Woodpecker!
So thanks for educating us!
Cheers!

Hi Kedar,
a very good pose and positioning of the woodpecker. The diagonal composition of the tree trunk give a good effect.
Well presented with the actionby the bird, pecking the wood.

regards,
Foozi
