Scaly-breasted Munia

The Scaly-breasted Munia, Lonchura punctulata also known as Nutmeg Mannikin or Spice Finch is a small passerine bird. This estrildid finch is a resident breeding bird in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia and the Philippines.

Nice capture of the scally breasted munia. Very well done. Few days back I tried to get snaps of these birds in Pune, but none good enough to post on TN. But you have captured it neatly. Very well done.

Nice capture of the scaly-breasted munia. They are typically in large groups - did you just see one? Good POV, but the image is a tad soft, and contrast can be better.
