| This is young chick of Purple Sunbird waiting for its mother for food. Purple Sunbird is flower peckers they feed nectar and insect. Purple Sunbird is very active with fast dashing flight. Usually found singly or in pair. Sunbird are the old world equivalent of Humming bird ,it has small with long slender decurved bill , short rounded wings, square-cut tail ,often hovering in front of flower. Female more active than male. Female clean nest every time, it removes excreta of chick from nest time to time. |

What an interesting bird. The picture is a little grainy, but nonetheless, the detail is there, and the shot is well composed. I know you scan in your photos, so I can imagine the original must be very nice! Good job!
