[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the male tiger, which was killed by poachers in Ranthambhore forest just a couple of months ago.
He was the brother of the collared male that I have posted in another photo. As you can see he was a magnificent and very beautiful cat. Some scumbag Moghya tribesman shot this tiger to cut away his skin and sell his bones to Tibetan and Chinese traders. The skin was to be used by Tibetan villagers so that they could jump up and down and dance around like a bunch of idiots in meaningless ceremonies. The more tiger and leopard you wear, the more affluent you are supposed to be...yeah sure...of course you are.... how dumb can you get? The bones and penis would be taken to China, the bones to be crushed up for absolutely useless Chinese "medicines" and the penis eaten by Chinese men who think that it will enhance their sexual prowess...again...how dumb can you get?
This may all sound foolish, but these people are destroying our last tigers for exactly this idiotic trade.
There are now less than 1400 of our tigers left in India, South China and Sumatran tigers are down to about 100 in total, the Siberian, or Amur, consists of less than 400. The Java Tiger dissappeared long ago as did the Caspian and many more. The Indian Authorities do very very little to stop this nightmare from continuing, in fact they might as well do nothing. They will only act when their back pockets are filled with bribes and the poachers give bigger bribes than the conservationists can afford. So now we continue to lose one tiger every day to poachers. That gives us less than 4 years before all our tigers are gone from the wild. My tigers, your tigers , The World's Tigers! Just like this magnificent and beautiful tiger in the photograph, that I had the great honour to meet up with just 5 short months ago..dead and gone...I will never be able to see him or experience those amazing moments with him again.

Regards

Roy

Hi Roy.
Nice shot of amazing animal. I like how well your have reflected its state of mood. So natural pose of the tiger and scenery at whole. I like excellent colours of the shot, nice details and exact exposure. My best regards and TFS.
Alexei.
