The World Photography Day is to be celebrated on 19th of August. I congratulate all my fellow TN members on this day and hope that by each passing day we all will grow as a photographer and our love for nature will be compounded with time.

The first announcement of photography was made on August 19, 1839 by the French, as Louis-Jacques-Mande Daguerre who invented the practical process of photography. This day is celebrated as World Photography Day.

A professional scene painter for the opera, Daguerre began experimenting with the effects of light upon translucent paintings in the 1820s. In 1829, he formed a partnership with Joseph Nicéphore Niépce to improve the process Niépce had developed to take the first permanent photograph in 1826-1827. Niepce died in 1833, but after six years Daguerre accomplished what they had set out to do and presented to the world, the first real photograph, on August 19 and this day continues to be observed as World Photography Day.
