If I am not wrong, you have also got some bees within the frame, Mayuresh.
Anyway, your subject looks fierce while drinking water; that sharp eye in sharp focus gives that impression. After all, it is no sparrow!

Hi Mayuresh,
You have those most interesting subject in your gallery! Many birds that I haven't seen before! This one is such a beauty. This must have been an impressive moment! This is the first time I see a bird of prey drinking :)! This is a nice composition with good exposure but I think that a faster shutter speed could have brought out a little more details, especially on its head. This is a beautiful capture anyway. Cheers!

Wonderful shot and you have freezed this moment so skillfully. The Shikra is quencing its thirst but the eye is so alert. Very neat and sharp image with nice colours and perfect forest lighting. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
