When I decide to post some pictures of butterfly, I feel guilty for my poor knowledge on them. Few days back some TN member wrote a nice tale on them (sorry, I can’t remember the name may be Angybone or Uleko). In Bengal butterfly is the symbol of Love and Marriage. Once it was must to use its picture during the ceremony. In Indian literature, specially in Sanskrit, butterfly signifies not only the beauty of the nature, also the fluttering psyche of the heroine. Noted Sanskrit poet Kalidas in ‘Abhigyan Sakuntalam’ mentioned butterfly as a messenger of love. Even in modern Indian films, this diurnal insects are frequent actors as they are in many fairy tales. But, what about this sweetie? It could be White Admiral or some other officer. It may have some perplex scientific name. To me, butterflies are the rhythm of life… A song of vibrating heart… The colours without name.

Yes well as you likely know, colors are indeed vibrations...even black!!! Vibration..music and harmony are all important components of photography and communication from one to another. Th e addition of words helps some to clarify what it is that you saw...it is sort of like an AHA! Now I see it!
Very good my friend.

Hello parthasarathi

Just marking the post for now

Rob

Hi Mr. Partha,
This is the lovely common jay butterfly over lantana flower. You have captured it very well with nice colors and details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Beautiful colors and an excellent composition.
Seems lantana flowers are the best bet for drawing butterflies!

Lovely colours and composition. It is very difficult to catch these little fellows cleanly and crisply. Keep practising, It will happen!
