| This is the view of Tsangu Lake in the rainy season. It is somewaht around 12,400ft. high above the sea level. In winter the upper surface of it's water freezes. It is about 24 kms. away from the town of Gangtok the capital of the province Sikkim, in India. This lake is in between the state capital and the pivotal point of 'Sino-Indian Trade', namely, Nathula[17,000 ft]. |

The photograph certainly conveys the effect of a remote mountain lake. The fog in the background adds to convey the altitude and remoteness. The picture looks tilted to the left, however.
