To me all birds are good looking, even the crow. But the Brahminy Mynah, a member of Starling family is more smart and handsome than others with nicely combed crest and stylish orange- brown suit with black border as the bird just arrived after dressing up from a beauty parlour. When they strut they look like a hero but if there is a fight always try for the backbench. Though starlings are fairly omnivorous, but this group is choosy and prefers to enjoy the berries or flower nectar sitting on tree top. But for chicks always scan the ground for earth warm or small insects. And their call? They are famous for mimicking. This bird is a regular visitor at our community park. Used to come in pair. But this time a juvenile one is with them. I took some pictures of them. Here the mother collecting warm for her baby.

I don't think thi sspecies has been on TN before, its a great capture.
Good sharpness and well exposed.

Chris

I love the effect of the background...almost like motion back there. Was there a bit of a wind? It definitely emphasis the sharpness and clarity of the bird. Good shot.

A bird with something on his inquisitive mind eh? Nice background OOF as should be in this case where he pops right off the page. Nicely done my square framing friend:-)

This is quite delightful! The colours are fresh, the details sharp and clear: very appropriate to this stylish lady.
My one suggestions is that you sign the images in colours a little more appropriate to the image so that it distracts a little less. In this case, yellow wold be noticeable enough to protect the copyright without distracting so much, I think

Hello Parthasarathi,
This is a beautiful capture of Brahminy Myna. I quite agree with you. With it's sleek looking back combed crest, this one indeed is a beauty. You have captured it with good sharpness and details with an excellent POV to show off its beauty. Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

Thanks a lot for correcting me on the ID of a bird I had posted and erronously identified as Ashy Prinia a few days ago. I have now revised the note accordingly.
This is a very crisp image of a Brahminy Mainah. I have yet to see one with my own eyes, though. It is much better looking than our usual noisy neighbourhood Mynahs.
Your note too gives precise and useful information on the species.
TFS and warm regards.
Ram

nice one, never sae this before, TFS Ori
