Robberfly with 'booty'
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I just noticed something pass beside my ear while I was chasing a butterfly [in vain]. It settled on a leaf of my graptophyllum plant and within reach of a possible macro. I slowly crept in on it, swiveling my torso and with minimum of fuss. It paid off when I saw what that was as I could not identify then that it was a species of Robberfly. And it had its 'booty' too [perhaps it was slow in flight due to the extra weight it carried].
I was learning the use of NeatImage that I had just downloaded. Since it had noise on the cropped original [I had forgotten to reset the normal ISO setting of 100] probably because it was shot with a ISO 200 setting. This picture today came in handy to use and see how it appears after some minor noise removal. Comments are welcome on this, please!
Regards.
