Bury the head deep!
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| An unidentified bumble bee buries its head deep into a Blue Salvia flower looking for nectar. It was focussing on getting its nectar while it helped me focus on my macro and get closer, in bright noon sun. Nature designs in such a way that these bees are most active during the flowering months and also when flowers have plenty of juice during the day. Very active fliers. Their wings make a buzzing noise during flight. |

Hello Dinu,
This is an impressive looking insect.
I think we've had this black bee on TN before.
This would have been a very hard photo to take with the vast contrast between the bright sunny flowers and the dark bee.
You've not done too badly at all.
Would be interested in learning more about this species.
Cheers
Steve
