An unidentified insect - steady flier, prominent antennae [feelers]. Easy to photograph. It sat on grass and probably drank some morning dew moisture before it came here.

Hello Dinu,

Very strange insect. It looks like a tipula. Great sharpness and beautiful colours.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hello Dino,
Extraordinary insect. No idea about the ID but it is colourful.
Like the natural light in your image...

Hi Dinu,

even the flies are much more colourful in India than here! You did a very good job in portraying this wonderful Tipulid fly (family Tipulidae, but no idea about the species). The lightfall is spectacular! Thanks for presenting the picture.
Best regards
Dietrich
