[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have planted some lantana plants so that butterfly may visit them and I can have the opportunity to get some good shot and know more about this beautiful insect. Specially on sunday morning i wait for them with the camera ready.

Soon i discovered that i was not the only one waiting for them. One day i found a butterfly perched on lantana but not moving at all. When i watched it closely i found that the poor butterfly was in the tight grip of this small white spider.

This spider has so far killed one moth and grass yellow and one pomona butterfly . I know it as when i come back in the evening or next morning i found the remains of insects.

I felt like picking this spider and throwing out of my garden bun then i thought by doing this I would be interupting in natures way.

The other shot of the different species killed by the same spider is in my archives and will be posted soon.

I like it very much
Krzysztof

Hello Pankaj,
Though it is a sad scene to see this beautiful insect in the grips of spider, I think one can not close one's eyes to the marvels created by nature. The spider is very well camouflaged among the Lantana flowers. You have captured it at the right moment with excellent POV, shrpness, details and lighting.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

Hola Pankaj.
Una interesante fotografía en la que se aprecia muy claramente la captura por parte de la araña.
Genial la nitidez y los preciosos tonos que has logrado.
Buen día amigo. JL.

Hi Pankaj,
a very interesting and slightly grisly moment you have caught here! I didn't know Spiders hid in flowers this way...it seems a little unfair on the Butterfly, but as you say, it is nature's way.
Excellent DOF and sharp detail with beautiful colour, all done in your trademark style - very well done!

Hi Pankaj, very nice shot of the Butterfly, I can understand you must have been upset to learn that the Spider and taken the Butterfly. I am always being reminded of the way of nature and I sometimes find it very hard to watch. It is good that you took this at this moment though so we can see what a lovely specimen it is and your flowers look good too. Great colour, detail and sharpness with good light.

Wow! Stunning capture!
Great sharpness and detail.
Superb use of flash.
Well done Pankaj,
Joe

This is a form of graphic art, in that the background is so perfect. I swear you are doing a serious white balance check and carrying colored backdrops with you...or whatever...there is a lot of professional studio quality to some of your images Pankaj . And today you share a space with Sumon which is appropriate.

Hi Pankaj,
Love these spider capture's with super-sized prey..
The great colors and action captured, is all the more dramatic against this black BG.
Nice catch X two :)
Howard

Goodness gracious, if you had not revealed the dramatic happening going on through your note, I would certainly have missed the predator, Pankaj!
That it is the moment of reckoning for the beautiful butterfly fills me with sadness. But then that is nature for you. Your impulse to chuck out the killer spider was natural and your after-thought wiser. We must not interfere with nature.
The shot is excellent in terms of nature photography. Very crisp and colourful.
You have attained professional heights through your dedication and I must compliment you on that.
Thanks for your kind words on my 500th. I do not deem myself a Guru figure in this field; in fact, you have turned out to be a more discerning artist than me.

Ram

Hello pankaj,
Looks like a deadly kiss in this beautiful colured surrounding. You are right, we don't have to interfere in nature's way. Again technically excellent picture, good framing and sharpness.
Thanks
Best regards
Anne

Hi Pankaj,
I have the same idea and just planted some Lantana a few weeks ago. This is fantastic picture. Quite a shock to see this scene. But again this is nature. TFS this nice shot.

Hello Pankaj,
a really unusual wing posure.
By the action of the spider, the upperside wing pattern of eurema hecabe is presented. Additionally, parts of the underside pattern are also seen.
Very good capture and nice document.
Best wishes, Peter

Very interesting and well-timed capture! The butterfly is so beautiful so one can only feel sorry for it having been trapped by the

Complimenti Pankaj!
Una foto davvero poco comune.
Il colore del fiore e della farfalla risaltano sullo sfondo scuro e rendono l'immagine molto forte e drammatica!

WOW!! Stunning capture!! I wondered about that strange wing-pattern, and now I notice that it is the upperside of a poor catopsilia captured by a well-hidden crab spider.
Superb shot!
