I took this picture at Jaldahapara National Park in West Bengal, where we made an elelfant ride to see the famous rhinos. I stood 1,5m in front of this huge animal, he was watching me with his tiny eyes and than allowed me take a look at his dental status - quite clean...
I used my F90X and scanned the photo afterwards with Epson 4990 Photo. I didn`t use Neat image to reduce noise to emphasize old skins structures.
Hope you like it! |

Impressive shot Georg!
The POV is incredible!
The slight blur adds movement and atmosphere.
Superb image.
Well done,
Joe
p.s I hope you had a good time in India!!
Hi Georg,
I thought I had a close up of an elefant, but this beats mine for sure. It is a great photo of a sight not many of us have seen before. The aperture probably caused some lack of sharpness, but the photo just makes that less of an issue.

Niek
Hello George,
A different point of view on an elephant!
First time I see something like this, and I notice both teeth are broken... maybe stolen?
