This is probably the best close-up on a butterfly I have ever seen ! There are so many details ! Each little hair can be seen, and even the scales on the wings, really amazing. And everything else is excellent too - colors, composition, POV, BG... Could not be better. A real master piece. Very well done !

The amount of detail is amazing!
Very sharp with brilliant clarity.
Nice light and a perfect exposure.
I can never seem to get my macros sharp without using flash... do you have any techniques or tips that could help me?

Fantastic come back. You must be feeling great to prowl on your familiar grounds and take pictures of butterflies. I am sure that the next set of pictures will be Super-macros with just details of eyes.

This one has excellent reflected light that has highlighted the details. Looks like you had been absolutely parallel to the wings to get all the details in sharp focus even in F6.3. I really want to see this in print.
