[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another look at this lovely bird. I'd like you to note that while the head is turned towards the left, the tail is still under the wing in the FG.
This is not a bird taking off, onthe contrary, it was quite calmly grooming itself while I looked on. Here, it was cleaning its wings.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Goldy, Nice to see you are back. The wings are perfect and firmly arranged and looks like someone has actually folded it inside. TFS Ganesh

Hi Goldy, lovely action shot, good colouration and an unusual pose. good work here, best regards h

The contortions the birds go into while grooming and cleaning themselves makes a theme in itself, Goldy.
You have captured such a moment in the case of this bird very well. The wing is at an impossible full stretch, isn't it?
Well done and TFS.
Ram

Hi Bro,
Wonderful capture of this beautiful Striated swallof in-flight (I think:). Well done. TFS.
Cheers,

Bayram

I should have known but am still surprised at the length of the wings. Having seen these perched..I do have a very small image of one the size of an eraser and when blown up I can see it as it glides...In perspective with a large bird such as an eagle...I would reckon the ration of body to wings as even greater.
Bob

Hello Goldy,

2 good neighbours today, nice capture and pose from the Swallow.
Nice pov and dof.
Gert

Hello Goldy,
This is one bird which flies past me almost all the times when I frequent our paddy fields, but have never been successful in photographing.:)So i was very happy to see not one but four pictures of it in various poses in your gallery.Well done my friend!. you have done a good job of capturing it in different poses. hey are such amazing birds, right? I never thought it has got such long wings. no wonder they take ff like jets.;)
Thanks for sharing all these pictures, Goldy.
Regards,
Smitha.

Aaah, certainly a good display of wing and tail feathers Goldy, but a little more precise focusing wouldn't hurt this fine composition my friend...

Hi Goldy,
Grooming birds provide great photographic oppurtunities and you have captured this moment so beautifully. The stretched wing looks so huge. Very neat and sharp image with great lighting and colours. The BG illustrates the habitat well and you chosen DOF isolates the subjects nicely. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Goldy, what a beautifull moment to take,we can see perfectly the full wing, excellent point of view, sharpness and colours,my best compliments,Luciano

Dear Goldy,
You have shown amazing wingspan of striated swallow giving false impression of it being in flight. The wing structure shows high "aspect ratio" helping it during long duration flights. Excellent POV.

Hi Goldy,

Superb shot of the Swallow, its amazing to see how long the wings are compared to the size of the birds body. Very nice details and nice colours too.
