My friend, this is 'Small Green -billed Malkoha' Scientific Name-Phaenicophaeus viridirostris. realy a good catch ! because normally this bird keeps himself in foliage of bamboo or Neem like trees, thick bushes and wants to be in shady patch.Very shy bird, in flight some times it resembles Asian male koel, but the white spots on long tail and green ring around the eye makes him different!any way good catch, nice picture.

Hello Babujayan,
This is quite different bird and has a very peculiar bright eyes. It is also seen in brown color and with golden e yes. You have managed to shoot this picture against the light and that too with superb sharpness. Well done friend. Ganesh I will b bk tmrw
