This is a rare capture, my friend. I don't think I have come across it's picture before.Though the picture is bit soft but yet has captured the details and natural colours .

I am surprised that this species of Pigeons can be seen in our part of North India, Ganesan.
You have taken this shot standing just below the subject. From this POV, you have manged a very sharp image of the bird showing its breast, head and nether part of tail wings.
The sky has turned out to be just white, which is quite OK.

Hi Narayanan, nice diagonal composition but the photo is overexposed and purple lines are visible around the tail and the tree branch, it is also lacking sharpness..

I thank you for posting this bird. I have a not very good picture of one that I took somewhere in India and never could find out what it was! A lovely looking bird in a very nice pose. I love the look on his face and the sparkle in his eyes. Beautiful colors and good details. He looks like he just had his nails done.

Hi Ganesh,
this is a pretty Pigeon you show us today!
Good sharpness showing great detail in the feathers.
The bird is very well exposed though the BG is slightly burnt-out.
Great composition and you made the most of the awkward POV.
Brilliant flash-work too.
