Away he went
Far far away
From his children
And all the beloved ones

Freed from the darkness
That enveloped his sleepless nights
Summoned away to his dear Lord
And he called himself a Communist all life

He loved his Lord
And kept his faith all along
He loved his party
And wrote many a line

They who knew choked as they told
His little ways of life
His patience and work; that
Said “I care” to every comrade around

My grandpa, my dear dear blood
He who sang many a song to me
He who smiled through his pains
Till life ceased to exist in him

I wished I could see his smile again
I wished I could hear him call my name again
I looked far away, and in the clouds
I saw the sky awash in brilliance of light

Assuring me,
He is there, he is there
Even if he went
So far away….

Losing dear ones can be painful, yet we live as each of us have a journey to complete.

This is for my grandpa whom I lost last week.

Presented is one of those summer sky moments where the floating bales of clouds stretch endlessly upto the horizon. They often reminds one of so many unknown matters- like life far away and beyond earth and so on.

Hallo Iris
I do not have time to leave proper critique; I do however want to tell you, looking at this image gives one the feeling that you missed somebody that you do not even know, but on the other hand it has a soothing and calming effect to it. Not an image we see on every page of Trek Nature. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, but condolencies on your loss.
Anna

Hi Silpa,
Very very touching poem and I can feel your sorrow and grief. Losing near and dear ones are always so painful. My heartfelt condolences and may his soul rest in eternal peace. Very symbolic and fitting image this is and I can say no more than majestic. You have depicted Heaven here and your grandpa's final resting place so beautifully.
Sumon

Wonderful vista Iris,
Makes one wonder if you were in a plane or on a mountain-top. Revealing and insightful prose, thank you for sharing this.
We should live our lives as if each day was the last..
Howard

Hi Iris,
What a special POV. Something you would expect from a brid with a camera and not from a human. Ofcourse a plane does help us humans to create such stunning views. I love the way the two layers of clouds seems to channel the view into the far distance.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Silpa,
Fantastic dedication to Your grandpa with the lovely photo and emotional poem - my condolencies, too. Absolutely great skyscape, perfect exposure (no OE), excellent compo. Like a dedication must be.
Tfs the photo and note, best regards, László

hello Iris,
As a cloud-fan I like this fine picture a lot and I'm very touched by the hommage to your grandfather. I understand it so well, because I loved my grandpa a lot too, because he was a very natural and nature-close person.
I like the framing a lot too.
Thanks and best regards
Anne

Hi Iris!

I discover this delicate picture and sensitive dedication to your grandpa only now. It's touching and deep. Your poem is just wonderful, I have read it several times and I care about it very much. The picture you have chosen suits it very well. I wish more people on TN would have paid attention to this delicate posting.

Kind regards
