Tricholepis amplexicaulis.
Common Hindi name: Dahan.
Plant: 1-2.5m tall. Erect annual herb.
Leaves: 7-12cm long. Alternately arranged, stalkless, linear-oblong, and have toothed margin with spines in them.
Flower: 2-5cm across. The involucre, or the rounded base of the flower-head, is broad and densely covered with spines. |

This is a beautiful image!
Technically on a high level, and excellent composition and superb sidelighting. This, together with the OOF dark natural BG makes the flowers stand out well.
Though you don't mention it in your note, the flowers and leaves suggest that this T. amplexicaulis is a type of thistle, (Compositae), but I'm no botanist.
A fine image that deserves more credit and thanks for sharing it!
