Flower Beetle

Hi friends,
This is the one which I have captured in my last rainy season. This Flower Beetle with 4 yellow Spots on jet black elytra (Hard shell like Fore wings of the beetles are known as Elytra) makes this an inch long , oval shaped beetle more attractive. Often we can see them on flowers, hence they known as 'flower beetles' ( most of the time on yellow flowers only which is again a camouflage trick of insects!)Beetles are the largest group in the insect kingdom !Beetles belong to 'Coleoptera' order in the insecta class. the size varies from .025 mm to 150mm. |

Hi, you know what caught my attention? The amazing contrast of colors. I noticed them from the thumbnail and had to download it. Then I see an amazing beetle with features so detailed that I leaned back.
The beetle's colors are vibrant consider that yellow and black really collide - I might've mistaken this for a bee if walking by and not given it another thought.
The composition is wonderful - thanks so much for posting.

Hello Ananth,
Very good picture of this beetle. Excellent composition. Very good POV, DOF and sharpness. Very well managed lighting. Splendid colours.
Cheers,
