Indian Cupid (Everes lacturnus syntala Cantlie)

Today morning I visited lalbagh eventhough it was heavily overcast, to feel the air and freshness. Because of the rains one can see lots of green, particularly fresh grass. And in one of the patch I found few subjects and one of them is this Indian cupid still perched on this grass blade. Using the grass blades, I composed my image and the green saturated (helped by the overcast sky) background looked pleasent and fresh. This Indian cupid belongs to blue (Lycaenidae) family and very small with 22-28mm wingspan.

Beautiful shot.

Hola nagaraj, la mariposa la veo muy centrada, yo hubiera recortado por detras y hubiera optado por un formato mas vertical, una opinión personal. Un buen enfoque y luz, los tonos de color son agradables. En lineas generales un buen macro.

Hi Nagraj,

This has very similar BG like your previous post, good picture, though my personal view, the yellow image[grass blade/stick] is diagonaly cutting the image which you could have made over with help of cs3.
