Hi,
This was shot at Maidhanahalli "Black Buck" sanctuary.
Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra) is a species of antelope found mainly in India, but also in parts of Pakistan and Nepal. There are also introduced populations in various parts of the world including numerous ranches in Texas in the United States of America; free-ranging populations also exist in Argentina (pampas in southern Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos provinces).

Local names for the species include Kala hiran, Sasin, Iralai Maan, Krishna Jinka and Kalveet in Marathi. It is often simply called "Indian antelope" though this term might also be used for other Antilopinae from the region.

PS: This is female of the species

Nice action. Next time you get it in air.!!.
Thios picture looks slightly dark, contrast. But its o.k. action is nice.

The post after this one is a monkey landing.. and it looks like this antelope changes for in the air, but great action shot, I find it difficult to capture animals in motion,

Hi Goutham,
Lovely action captured with good timing.
Considering the very fact that these fast animals are difficult subjects to track and present in action mode, you have done a fine job here.
You have managed an interesting level of focus on the antelope even as it charges ahead. As Satish says it would be another story to catch it in air.

Well done.Look forward to more of your antelope shots....
TFS & Cheers
