The Tarai Gray Langur, again, this time with his not so pleased consort...

Here's a part of song's lyrics, a song I love, Don Williams' I'll never Be in Love Again

So you go your way, I'll go mine
And if our paths should cross somewhere down the line
I'll just say hello and shake your hand
But if tears come to my eyes please understand

Those that live in New Delhi and it's suburbs, know about the monkey menace we face! My office actually employs (read has contracted a langur keeper), like even our Rashtrapati Bhavan does, to keep these smaller red bottomed monkeys away!
The song i've mentioned above is a sad one, but given the rate at which our populations are growing, and the rate at which we're clearing forests to meet our constantly growing demands for food and shelter unless something miraculous happens, we'll only have use for langurs to drive away the red bottom monkeys,
and all female langurs will soon be bidding tearful farewells to their mates, since the males(they're stronger) would soon be earning cash, if they need to survive!

Hi Goldy
The song by Don Williams tells a sad story.

Your old world monkeys look like they are lounging around in the trees and blend in well to their surroundings, especially the bark on the trees. It's great to see them in their natural environment. Nice detail, colour and lighting.

Hi Goldy

A nice shot showing these langursa in their natral habitat - open monsoon forest with creepers and vines - the origin of the word jungle.

Bellissima composizione con l'ambiente naturale, ci avevi già mostrato la bellezza di questo animale, ora ci mostri un momento di vita di questa coppia, ottima nitidezza, belii i colori. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Goldy,

Wonderful notes - both melancholy and humorous at the same time. I do remember seeing monkeys in very strange places in India. Another beautiful shot of these animals in their natural habitat. I love his pose in the tree. It looks like the other one is staying as far away as possible. As I was typing I saw a baby bobcat jump off my backyard wall. Ran out with the camera but he/she was gone. Maybe it will come back.

Hi Goldy,
Good focusing among all those branches. I like the scene you captured. TFS
Best wishes,
Selen

It's a tough shot but it works..I have a few I didn't post be3cause they tore the eye in two directions. one to the left and one to the right...but what you have here is enough of the puzzle filling in between to make up the difference!
Bob

Hello Goldy,
Lovely capture of these Langurs in their natural environment. Both are sharply in focus and watching you. Beautiful light and colours too. I didn't know about the problems you have with monkeys in Delhi.
TFS and regards, Ulla
