Hello Hara,
A fine capture of a crab without his left claw taken from a fine POV and sharp against the wet sand.
We have two active Howards on TN and this would be a fine tribute to them both, but Howard Cheek has been with TN longer than any of us.

HP! A question for you..I have little time to do a net search but since you seem to know from having posted this image...what happens now with this creature? Does it continue a semi normal average life? Or does it die soon? Or does an appendage grow in for replace? A very interesting and sharp image which almost brings more questions:-) Sorry..I do like the image. I hope I am not a bother in my wondering...

Excellent macro of this little fighter. Such is life...when you wrestle with the bigger ones you can expect to be eaten. Can one say, "Nice eye contact" when it is a wee little big-eyed crab? Excellent detail and spot-on DOF and lighting.

Hi Haraprasan

A very beautiful shot of this cute crab!
I've always loved this type of crab and felt that they look quite funny with those big eyes standing so clear from the body. You have captured it well here, from this frontal POV and made sure that the entire body is the rage of your DOF.
Maybe a bit lower would have made those gorgeous eyes stand our even better, but it's nice even so.
