African Babul Blue . Azanus jesous . Lycaenidae family. wing span 24-28mm.

Very cute and small one was found and captured in lalbagh recently. Very fast flier and you may find it difficult to tract this one once its takesoff. Here its perched on grass flowers, the grass almost five to six feet tall swaying gracefully in the wind. Without tripod it was difficult to focus and shoot. This african babul blue so small in the frame forced me to crop appropriately for the presentation. This may not be rare butterfly but very difficult to spot and that makes this one a prized collection for me. Early morning soft light helped me to get this natural colors.

Hello Nagaraj,
A fine closed-wing capture of this Afro-Indian Lycaenid, A. jesous taken from a perfect side POV with good sharpness and use of the limited ambient light and set in an excellent composition.

This little Blue is new to me and your capture is excellent showing its beautiful underside wing markings. I like its pose and the dark green background. Great sharpness and fine colours too. Well done!
