So well camouflaged on the ground amongst the leaf litter, good spotting. Wonderful sharpness and detail of the bird with the interest of him scratching around in the dirt.

Hoopie Birds are really cool birds as we can see on this one. You did good work on this one.
This bird gives me a notion of where some indigenous peoples may have gotten their ideas for ceremonial dress.. Man mimicking nature for celebratory is a natural thing...outside of the church though..for in my mimic I try to portray it from the side of the Creator...sometiems even without knowing..a very interesting aviary and quite new to me...Good show!

Only few hours ago I have written that I have few dreams else and one of them to shoot hoopoe. You are luckier photographer and you managed to take nice picture of the beautiful bird. Excellent low POV and diagonal composition. I also like perfect sharpness of the image and nice rich colours. My compliments and TFS.

I'm so jealous. I had one chance at a shot of a Hoopoe and failed miserably. This one amongst the leaves is just great. You have captured this amazing looking bird showing off his personality. Nice colors and details of his crown, eye, face and plummage. I think this is one of the greatest looking birds in the world.

you captured this Hoopoe very well.
I like the strutting pose and the way he's concentrating on the floor, searching for bugs and stuff I guess.

Again a splendid post! How beautiful os the natural crown of the bird, and you have done a superb job by capturing it so brilliantly.
The look on the bird's eyes is interesting.
