[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

A Pioneer after a long time. The last image I had of this common butterfly had only the face covered. This time, I wanted to add a few details around the Pioneer. Hence this picture with the Pioneer resting on a single blade.

Well done. Beautiful B-fly. You photographed it very well.
Good sharpness and lighting. Subtle perch combined with a blurred background.

Hello Murali,

This certainly has all the details of its face, and its body as well! A fine shot with the single blade of grass creating an interesting, cross-frame perch.

My preference would be to rop it a little tighter, especially from the r/h side. That would improve composition and make the butterfly bigger on screen.

excellent work, beautifuly composed. believe me, you won't get these situations often, its rare. everything perfect, well almost, i felt the brightness is bit less and the pioneer almost in the centre. i did a workshop, that doesn't mean your image is not good, just showing you how to improve this one. hope you don't mind. tfs.

This is a superb composition. Excellent BG. I am finding a strange thing on the butterfly wings. There is a string which I have not seen on this type of butterfly. Well done and see you soon. Ganesh

One of the most beautiful images of a butterfly I have ever seen on TN, Murali.
That diagonal single blade of grass lends great aesthetic richness to the composition. The Pioneer in itself is a beauty to behold. Superb sharpness and delightful rendition of delicate colours on its wings.
