wing span: 50-65mm

This was found on a nice perch but when approached flew away to settle here in thickly covered grass. It was difficult to approach and to avoid all those grass blades in front. Somehow managed to get this frame shooting through the grass itself which was blurred enough. Handheld, this image a bit soft, hope to get one more gull to capture better.

I would venture to guess that given a set of 100 pictures I could guess Nikon as the right camera about 75 percent...Nikon and Canon have very distinct differences..and this shows off a good eye behind a Nikon..I could tell without looking..And Canon is superb...but there are different things one can do and yet retain same flavour..Very nicely done!

Hi Nagaraj,
a new species to me. beautifully taken in lovely green Bg. I like the soft yellow with nice dark linings and pattern on its wing. the subtle greenish background is very smooth.
