[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last week BNHS Delhi chapter organized a discussion on vultures. Though the discussion was chiefly on White-rumped and Long-billed Vultures but every nature lovers who were present over there was also anxious about other vultures too. Cinereous Vulture (Aegypius Monachus) is less common and mostly watched in hilly areas. This 105cm huge bird looks more gorgeous than other vulture families and occasionally adults are mistaken with juvenile Red-headed vulture though the later is much smaller. During flight the birds can be identified easily for their darker colours.

Hi Parthada,
Nice image and though it is a bit soft it still portrays a much threatened species. You are lucky to have found their habitat and I am looking forward to your other images of the vulture in the coming days.
TFS this fine inflight image.
