Nikkor 600mm is a tool you handle with great dexterity, Rathika.
The full frame portrait of this beautiful bird from the hills is simply outstanding in terms of details and subtle colours on the bird.
Hope your Himalayan birding expedition was highly successful. As for me, I hardly ever came across any exotic hill birds in Chamba at this time of the year. I did have a go at a bird that looks like a magpie but with limited lens range, I ended up doing a couple of mediocre shots in poor light conditions in a forest.
