Hi friends,
I shot this picture at Lalbagh in Bangalore.
Some people said this is a butterfly but some said it is a moth. So there is a lot of confusion regarding this.
Hope anyone can figure it out :)

Very nice. Exposure is right on with good detail in the whites and darks. P.S. Butterflies have and enlarged section -- sometimes called a club -- on the ends of their antennas. Look at some buttefly pictures -- you'll see. Gary

Hello Arjun,
Excellent photo of this moth. The light and colours are very beautiful. Splendid sharp details and a great POV. Beautiful BG.
Regards,
Peter

Dear Arjun,
First of all, thank you very much for your kind words on my completion of three years on TN. I cherish them dearly.
Your picture of this unique Moth is remarkably sharp and crisp. The very black and white colours on its open wings are just superb. However, there is a touch of gold at the tip of its abdomen and on its neck and head which adds tremendous beauty to the subject as a whole.
Peter in my opinion is the last word in identifying insects, so it is a Moth alright.
TFS and all the best.
Also, Happy Republic Day!!
Ram

Hi Arjun,

Lovely composition and good sharpness.

Regards,
Sowmya

Hi Arjun,
Moth or butterfly, doesn't count to the viewer so much, because the pic is extremely well exposured. Perfect lights, POV, sharpness, colors. Absolutely stunning image. Bravo.
Best wishes from Hungary, László
