Hello Goutham

A lovely "Shoveler" shot showing the rich colours on this water bird in beautiful fashion.

I do wonder why you chose a smaller format for upload. But the bird is however presented with very good sharpness and details.One can see the water droplets on its beak.The lovely head with green metallic sheen is most attractive.I also like the little impression of ripples created by its movement in the water.

Hello Goutham, This is a nice shot and I sometime wonder when India will ever learn to protect the nature. We spend on IPL 2000 crores and spending on nature development we hesitate. For our park maintenance (where I do most of my pictures) our neighbor doesnt pay Rs.25 per month. This is a beautiful shot and you have all colors and sharpness in the picture. Ganesh

Goutham,

This is a lovely shot of the Northern Shoveler. I find this whole picture your note and the timing of it very interesting. We to get this bird in our area but mostly as it migrates North to breed. It just so happens that this is the time of year we see it. It is fascinating to me that being half a world away we can still enjoy the same natural wonders at the same time. Like you, we are loosing much of our water ways to development. In the future, we may only have these great pictures to remember what birds came our way.
