This is a cute pair of barn swallow, that I captured last week along with Satish, Murali and Chandru.

This particular formation was nice to see and capture, but mind you it was bit challenging.
one I wanted to use the right amount of DOF , so that the twigs in the BG is not more pronounced at the same time I had to bring both birds into some kind of focus.

Viewers eyes always goes to the subject that is closer to the lens first and then moves along the contours and covers other parts of the frame, so I had to focus on the bird in the front.

On composition, this again posed a challenge as placing the subject in the center is not my cup of tea. But I still decided to place it in the center here because, both birds are looking in the opposite direction. So when there is symmetry you can break the rule!

I also liked the "X" formation here, but still feel the OOF twigs in the BG is a distraction

Hope you ppl liked this picture.

Hello Goutham,
The centred composition works quite well for this image.
You've brought out the colours in the plumage nicely too, with great sharpness and detail.
Very nice work.
Cheers
Steve

Hello Goutham,

Special Photograph, seems a challenge to shoot because they do not sit at one place, infact i have never seen sitting for even a minute. You got them in a nice posture. Well done. Congrats.

Cheers,
TFS,
Prasad

Hi Goutham!

I notice with pleasure that your picture already has the well deserved little green star. It's simply a beautiful picture. I like the pose of the two birds very much and the delightful background with the curved lines is very elegant, creating a fine artistic impact. I also like the tender pastel colours of the background very much. They contrast so nicely with the ones of the birds and highlights them at best.

Kind regards

Markus

Lovely image I must say and nicely composed too. About the twigs in the background, i feel that they can easily be cloned, it will look fantastic :) none the less, this is a great image and your thinking behind it is very professional :)

Ho Goutham. A fine pair of Barn Swallows. Which you have taken with fine detail and natural looking colours. I like the pose with one facing each way. A good POV/DOF. well done TFS.
Nick..

have a good weekend.

hello goutham,
very difficult to shoot capture, i think that the cenralised composition has worked well here and you managed to get both the birds is focus,
well done,
tfs & regards
pankaj

Goutham,
highly concentrated, artistically composed capture of a couple of swallows in sweet pose. The curve of blurred twigs in the background adds to a performance of great elegance.
Also here: the image would deserve a larger presentation in maximum available pixel space.
Thank you. With best regards,
Peter
