***************************************************************************

Memecylon umbellatum (Ironwood or अंजनी in Marathi) is a beautiful tree found generally on the hills and in the evergreen forest.

Indian Medicinal Plant "Anjani"
Oral administration of an alcoholic extract of the leaves of Memecylon umbellatum (dose 250 mg/kg) led to a significant lowering of serum glucose levels in normal and alloxan-induced-diabetic mice. Although the mechanism of action is unknown, the results indicate that M. umbellatum has potential as a source of oral hypoglycaemic agents.

Scientists have explored the possibility of its extract being used as a quick wound healer.

Hello Subhash,
This looks like an intricate piece of embroyderi instead of an inflorescence. Nevertheless you show an amazing collection of pink buds and blue flowers beautifully presented growing directly on this curved branch. Shows well against the neutral BG in a fine composition.
Thanks for postig this great contribution,
Best wishes,
Ivan
