[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Friends, two days ago, I posted the picture of a bird which I thought was a Yellow-eyed Babbler. My own doubts and Peter's ID suggestion motivated me to do further research and eventually, I settled for another species of Babblers.
I have mentioned in my note with that picture that I had actually shot a real Yellow-eyed Babbler too during my visit to Gurgaon but had desisted from posting it due to a reed coming in the way.
Reed or no reed, I had decided to post it here on TN to set the record straight.
So here it is, because I thought it would be a timely posting in continuation of the confusion that I had created regarding the true ID of this bird two days ago.
Hope you will forgive me for not being able to avoid the reed obstructing the view. I did not want to lose the bird and took a hurried shot. Needless to say, this is the only shot of this bird I could take.

Here is a note on the species taken from Wikipedia:

The Yellow-eyed Babbler, Chrysomma sinense, is a bird species found in open grass and scrub in south Asia. Its common name refers to its traditional placement with the Old World babbler family Timaliidae. The genus Chrysomma has recently turned out to form, together with its relatives, a clade with the parrotbills and Sylvia warblers and would thus be moved to the Sylviidae (Jønsson & Fjeldså 2006).

A lovely and perfect capture of this cute Yellow-eyed Babbler Ram Sir. Even though there was a twig in the way the focusing, composition, lighting and details are great and the POV with the catchlight in the eye great.
TFS and cheers MF!

Hi ram,

A bird with a lot of character, you note the look ... good picture, despite being made with some haste in order not to lose the opportunity. Good eye and good reflexes. Discard the obstruction of the beam in the photo, is greatly overcome by the superb approach; and adds a natural touch to the overall picture.

Regards,

Jesús

Hello Ram,
This one caught my eye and of course I had to check the ID! Both you and Peter are right in saying that this is a Yellow-eyed Babbler and a fine capture it is too!
Only the reed stem is a minus but the salient features show well with good sharpness, colours and lighting.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hi Ram Sir...

Very nice capture of the Babbler... I feel the shot is from SULTAN PUR BIRD SANCTUARY???
