It's good to have you back. Hopefully Caroline's 37th birthday will be a happier celebration. My heart goes out to you and your family. I love this little Owl posing so beautifully on the branch. Wonderful eye contact - the yellow eye not in the shade is magnificent. Excellent colors and details of his face and plumage. The blue sky looks just like mine.

Well, i have to admit I have none of those in my backyard..!
A serious looking bird (I think all owls are..?) has been captured with fine details in the plumage, and presented in this balanced composition!
