[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was captured yesterday evening over my rooftop garden. Both were very tiny I had to use the Raynox DCR 250 Macro to get this close.
The Predator is a Crab spider and the Prey I think is a small sweat bee.
Something about Crab Spiders
CRAB SPIDER
These guys are the Masters of Disguises!
They can change their color to match whatever their surroundings are. They tend to hide in flowers and wait patiently until an insect wanders by. Then they will just reach out and grab their lunch.

Something about the prey
SWEAT BEE
Sweat bee is the common name for any bees that are attracted to the salt in human sweat. In its strict application, the name refers to members of the Halictidae, a large family of bees that are common in most of the world except Australia and Southeast Asia, where they are only a minor faunistic element. In the USA, the common species are black, brown, red, or metallic green, and sometimes with yellow markings, and usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch (4-10 mm) in size. Their attraction to sweat makes them a nuisance, as they will sting if squeezed or squashed against one's flesh. Their sting is only rated a 1.0 on the Schmidt Sting Pain Index, making it almost painless. However, individuals with allergies to any kind of insect stings should seek immediate medical attention. Pest control is not recommended due to their beneficial nature in pollination.

Good action shot in a macro and i love those subtle colors and the way the light is diffracted on those wings of the bee and good picture to watch.

Dear Haraprasan!

You present us a dramatic picture showing the reality in wildlife. Moreover, the way you present this picture is superb. I like the composition with the blurred background lines very much, and the focus is on the right place. The colours are beautiful, too!

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Haraprasan!

Excellent macro of predator and prey. This crab spider looks similiar to our local species. Very good details, sharpness and composition. Colours are great, especially BG and rainbows on bee's wings.
