[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Believe me, I shot this damselfly in August last year, transferred the day's shoot to my portable hard disk and then forgot all about it.
Today while looking up for a picture from my archives, I came across this damselfly which, I thought, had turned out to be pretty good. Anyway, I leave that for you to decide.

Though I have made thorough research about the ID of this species, I cannot be 100% sure. All indications point towards it being a Coromandel Marsh Dart. However, I'm open to be corrected by an expert.

The following note I have directly lifted from Haraprasan's post of this species (Thanks, HP):

Hello Ram,
What a fine sharp capture of this beautiful little Damselfly. Excellent focus and the colours are stunning. I love those bright eyes. It looks like an unusually long species!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Ram sir,

Awesome damselfly snap. Nice to see it in its perfect habitat. Almost difficult to see with necked eye. You have caught him nicely in diagonal pose.

Very good DoF and nice sharp, bright colours.

TFS,
Kedar

Hi Ram!

Archives are important and sometimes full of surprises... I'm glad that you show us this beautiful insect and this superb picture. The crossing lines of the plant and the main subject create a delightful effect. Your notes are very pleasant to read.

Kind regards

Ciao Ram, great capture of elegant damselfly with fantastic colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Ram,

Magnificent capture, very clear and color accurate. Very nice complex character that give the leaves to all bicolour. Also the approach is fairly even and helps the whole. Strange diagonal composition, the final outcome of the pic is interesting, unusual and quite enjoyable. Nice to see this kind of work, used to learn how to use the vertical lines and horizontal.

Thanks Ram,

Greetings

Jesús

Hi Mr. Ram,
100% it is a Coromandel Marsh Dart. Taken from a difficult POV often while shooting. I have never succeeded in taking a top POV. The DOF is very good here. Sharp details and a lovely composition. I also lifted the notes as I am no expert ;>. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sincerely
HP
