This water Hyacinth is notorious for the damage it did
to Africa's great lakes ecosystem. When I saw it here
in Goa, I feared it would spread here as well...as far
as I know it didn't yet. |

More than the shot your concern towards nature is great...thank you..
This weed is already spreaded everywhere in Kerala(one of the southest state in India)and the natives are facing very serious problems like imbalancing of the freshwater ecosystems,water transportation problems etc.etc..the chemical manures in the paddy fields increased the growth and almost all freshwater lakes and backwaters are infected now..
Goa is not too far..
