[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Red Munia or Red Avadavat is a sparrow-sized bird of the Munia or Silverbill family and is found in South Asia. They are popular cage birds due to the colourful plumage of the males in their breeding season. Their normal habitat is open grassland and paddy fields. They breed in the monsoon season. The species name amandava and the common name of avadavat is derived from the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat from where these birds were exported into the pet trade.

Naturalised populations exist in southern Spain and Hawaii.

Nice shot. Good details and exposure

The cross leaves is a big bonus for composition. The shot might be better as a portrait that will also remove most of the branch in the foreground (it is a tad distracting)

Details is good and the note interesting.
