Hi Mahesh!
You have captured the subject on the cross formed by two long blades of grass. Great idea!
The subject is well presented from a good POV.
Do some research on the butterflies of India. There are quite a few sites with reasonably good information.
TFS.

Hello Mahesh,
thank you for posting this picture of an Ypthima-species (Satyrinae). The specimen is presented in natural colours and pretty good sharpness. Species of the genus Ypthima are not easy to identify. In most cases, informations on both wing upperside and underside patterns are necessary to come to a final conclusion. I suppose that this is
-- Ypthima inica
-- subfamily: Satyrinae
-- tribe: Ypthimini
Best wishes, Peter
