| This was a pair of peculiar slugs I found in Lothian Island, Sundarban (India). During the night they frequented the same brick-laid path (the one I mentioned in another picture). I decided to call these porcupine slugs since I don't know what they are called. One characteristic of these denizens is, if you touch them with a stick they roll into a semi ball kind of shape with the spines sticking out. and also exude a sticky mucous fluid. And they are strictly nocturnal - never seen them in the day. |
