Float on wings
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Friends,
We had been to Kokrebelur near Bangalore recently to take pictures of birds that visit this small village every year. We walked around the village, tailgated by a stream of children, and took several pictures. In most cases the Pelican's and Storks were in very high branches next to their nests that they dis not present a good view for photography. Hence we concentrated of birds taking flight.
Attaching the picture of a Pelican that has spread its wings to its full span. I still could not accommodate the entire wing span within the film area. Pelicans float for a few seconds just before landing on the tree. This presented me an opportunity to shoot this picture.

Hello Murali
Very nice picture of this Pelican in flight. The sharpness is very good and shows plenty of details in the Pelican. The composition is good even that you cut the upper wing tip. However the Pelican is underexposed - I know it is hard to get a picture like this right But there is some help in Photoshop. Therefore I dared to make a WS to show you what I mean. - Hope it is OK.
Regards
Mogens
