Crow-Pheasant or Coucal is a cclumsy black bird with chestnut wings and long broad black tail.It hunts singly or in pairs, stalking along the ground in undergrowth.I t belongs to the Cuckoo family, and it is one of the non-parasitic cuckoo. it eats caterpillars, large insects, lizards, snails young mice and bird's eggs and sometimes the youngones. it's call is adeep resonant coop-coop-coop that we call it Ooppan in Kerala.
