Cattle Egret
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
the bird in this picture is Cattle Egret.one can distinguish it from Little egret by colour of the bill which is yellow ,not black. They are mostly seen with grazing cattle, running in and out between their legs and lunging out to seize insects disturbed by their movements.
I took this shot one early morning when i was walking through the paddyfields behind my home. The bird just flew past me to a nearby grazing cow.
i took this shot with a AF Nikor 80-200mm in aperture mode. Since the light was good i had kept the F stop at f/4 with iso 200.
i have cropped the image a little bit in adobe photoshop. |

Hello Smitha,
Capturing a bird in flight is not an easy job, but you have done it very well. Congratulations!
The posture of the white bird is elegance incarnate. The subject stands our clearly against the blurred BG.
The angle of light is also very well suited to the image.
TFS.
