[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image is taken from a 4th floor balcony in Poona.There is a sugarcane field into which the balcony overlooks.This black winged kite ( E. caeruleus)came around howered for a few seconds & then disappeared.Unfortunately couldnt get him howering as the camera kept focussing on the building behind.

interesting pose. i'd crop closer to the bird. i'd increase constrast between the bird and the sky

Oh the Black Shouldered Kite hunting,
I observed this strategy with the ones I photographed last week,
they hover above their spotted prey for a while and once the prey does not see the bird as a threat, the smart bird of prey dives down to get the prey with precision.

good shot portraying just that :)
