What I like on your picture is the unusual point of view you have chosen. Like this the grasshopper seems to dominate its world. The blurred background is pleasant too.

Hello Ben,
You have become the grasshopper specialist on TN, and this is another fine work. I like the low pov, whcih puts the hopper in a dominating pose. Excellent colors and detail. My only concerns is that, again, f/2.8 looks insufficient. The eyes are sharply in focus but the legs needed some extra depth of field.

Hi Ben,
nice to see this mostly in focus image of the grasshopper. The crop is fine, but the shy on the right top is a bit distracting. But there's hrdly anything you can do about it. But that is just a minor nit.

Hi Ben

Great macro work with the capture of this giant grasshopper. The bottom-up POV makes the hopper appear larger than life and it tends to underline your statement "Grasshopper can be a serious insect pest for agricultural crops..." however, not just in your region, but anywhere on this great planet.

I like the composition, natural colours, great details, complimentary BG, and the exposure control.

I have seen grasshoppers about 3 cm only. You are luckier -: ))). Excellent composition of the picture and exact DOF (despite f-number f/2.8). Sharpness of the insect is great and BG is very nice and perfectly blurred. My compliments and TFS.
