Another shot of common blue butterfly, getting up closer and more personal.......

More info about the butterfly:

Undersides have a greyish ground colour in the males and more brownish in the females. Both sexes have a row of red spots along the edge of the hindwings (extending onto the forewings though generally fainter, particularly in the males where they are sometimes missing altogether). There are about a dozen black centered white spots on the hind wings, nine on the forwings. The white fringe on the outer edge of the wings is not crossed with black lines as it is in the Chalkhill and Adonis Blues, an important difference when separating these species, particularly the females.

So, This is a male or female?

Hi Ben,
The focus is outstanding around the eye but gets soft toward the top edge of wings. I realize you were trying to crop away the plant, but the crop is tight on bottom In my opinion. Exposure is much too dark. DOF is outstanding and I really like the background color.

Hello Benyamin,
Impressive macro shot of this butterfly.Details and sharpness on head.Simple BG and framing are wonderful.Excellent work!
TFS..:-)

Very nice detail on this guy Ben, especially on the thorax and head. The colour is good. Depth of field has very nicely separated him from his background, but may be a bit tight leading to a loss of focus on upper wing.

Thanks, John

Una imagen muy bonita de bella composición y gran definición, lo único que no me gusta es el cuadro. Saludos

Hi Ben. Another excellent macro of this butterfly. Good results from the new Sony Alpha 100. Flawless result. Murray.

Hi Benyamin,
I like the focus on the Butterfly, nice that you got close and personal. Wonderful detail and a lovely colourful background that shows those details well.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hola Benyamin.
Buenos detalles y agradables colores.
Quizá una de las alas está OOF pero no quita la belleza del conjunto.
Un saludo, JL.

Hi Ben.
Now I have understood why DOF at previous shot was large enough. This is long shooting distance. At this shot, I think, distance was shorter and f/5.6 is insufficient a bit. This is alone minus of this picture. POV. details and beautifulness of the BG are perfect. Best wishes and TFS.
Alexei.
